Intersections 2018

Did you attend the Grounded Solutions Network conference here in Pittsburgh in October 2018? With the generous support of PNC Bank and The Heinz Endowments, we were able to coordinate scholarships for 25 Pittsburgh-area affordable housing practitioners and community members.

CLT staff stayed busy as members of the host committee. Whether we were showing our neighborhoods to practitioners from around the country, touring one of our CLT homes, gathering at the August Wilson Center to welcome our guests, or sharing technical expertise with a national network of colleagues, we had a great time.

Conference attendees at Intersections 2018 gathered for a lunchtime presentation from the Director of Grounded Solutions.

Here’s what Grounded Solutions had to say about the work of the conference:

“At Intersections 2018 we will explore how to work collectively in order to make inclusive communities the new norm. With sound policy and effective action, we can shape our communities to be equitable and filled with opportunity for all. As neighborhoods grow and change, we can make sure that happens in a way that is good for the people who live there. We ensure that families can put down roots without fear of being forced out and that people who are providing essential services can also live in the communities they serve. Strong communities have diverse housing options for a variety of incomes, offering choice and opportunity for all residents.”
